Which Ring Fits?

Probably the biggest misconception in office supplies is how to measure a binder. It is so quick and easy to pick up a ruler and measure the outside spine, but in doing so you think the binder is bigger than it actually is.   Check out the banner above. To measure a round ring size, you measure from one side of the ring to the other. Slant ring and EZD rings sizes are the length of the straight part of the ring.   Slant rings and EZD rings hold more sheets than standard round rings. However round rings are the least expensive. To choose the best ring for your project, estimate the amount of sheets of paper and don’t forget to include indexes. Use the chart in the banner to choose the size needed. Unless a binder is being used for rarely used storage, try to fill to 90% of the capacity. We have found that pages turn easiest in round rings and next in EZD rings. Let the number of sheets, budget and usage guide which ring size and style fit your project.  Avery’s first quarter rebate includes some of their heavy duty binders and an assortment of indexes http://marketingassets.oppictures.com/Biggestbook/rebates/content/ave_25brookstonegiftcard_1.1.17-3.31.17.pdf
